About the job

For several upcoming projects, we are looking for an Encoding Engineer. In this position, you work together with the project team and especially with the Digital Producer.

As an Encoding Engineer you are responsible for ensuring the smooth delivery of all operational, digital tasks during the production phase of our projects. This may include but is not limited to tracking of project progress, and preparing the backend for live streams. 

During our live shows for big corporate clients,  you will be responsible for making sure the video and audio signal from our master control rooms arrive on the right platforms. For entertainment shows like festivals, this can include streaming to many different platforms and destinations at the same time - from client channels to DJ socials - and quality checking to ensure a smooth show.

The responsibilities

In this role you will:

• Lead day-to-day project management tasks under supervision of the Technical & Digital Producer NL;

• Distribute multiple streams across platforms at the same time during live productions

The requirements

• Basic knowledge of live streaming on the internet - You know how broadcasting on streaming websites works and the theory behind it;

• Ability to plan, organize, pay attention to details and prioritize tasks;

• Clear communication & ability to assertively give and receive feedback;

• Adaptability & problem solving skills in chaotic situations;

• Working hours according to changing project planning and may contain weekends and late night hours;

• Based in the Netherlands, preferably in wider Amsterdam region

• Fluency in spoken English;

• Nice-to-have: Affinity towards marketing & gaming
