About the job

As a Warehouse Manager, you will be supporting the daily operations of the broadcast technical team. This means that you will be working daily to ensure the whereabouts and maintenance of the technical equipment, the storage space, and technical workplaces are neat and clean. You will also assist the AV technical team with load-in and load-out during production.

The responsibilities

  • Overall support of the NOMOBO Tech Team in preparation for upcoming productions;

  • Collaborate with other departments to fulfill orders and meet production requirements in a timely manner;

  • Issuing and preparation of appliances; 

  • Management of our in-house rental software;

  • Receiving returned equipment and inspecting the technical state of these items for needed repairs or (in)completeness;

  • Index and stock current inventory;

  • Help restructure our ever-evolving warehouse and keep it tight and clean; 

  • Simple maintenance of NOMOBO equipment;

  • Enter new equipment in our inventory software and label them correctly;

  • Load-in and load-out of productions;

  • Reports and handling of damage, malfunctions, or missing items;

  • Oversight of current and new standard operating procedures in the warehouse;

  • Ensuring the warehouse is operating safely and within the guidelines set down by company management;

  • Asset and stock management;

  • Routine equipment preparation for rental;

  • Loading & unloading vehicles;

  • Routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment;

  • Booking and overseeing freelance contractors to help prep for larger productions;

  • Building schedules, identifying potential equipment overlap and shortages;

  • Coordinating freight shipments to and from production locations and international venues with shipping brokers;

The requirements

Basic knowledge of Windows/Apple computer systems;

In possession of a clean driver's license;

Must live in the Los Angeles area and willing to work on-site in the warehouse;

Will be required to learn and, in some cases, operate the following systems/applications:

  • Documentation (Lucid Charts, etc);

  • Atlassian (Confluence, Jira, Trello);

  • Knowledge of Packaging & Metadata;

  • Title and Asset Metadata;

  • XML Metadata (Cablelabs, EMA);

  • Understanding of Delivery Methods;

  • FTP;

  • Understanding of Broadcast and Film Production Standards;

  • NTSC & PAL;

  • Frame Rates;

  • Text Files;

  • Audio;

  • Localization of Media Content;

  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office.
